Where should I aim lobs?

By , About.com Guide

Question: Where should I aim lobs?
Answer: Always aim lobs deep. For a good lobber, aiming around three feet inside the baseline is reasonably safe and effective. Also leave at least four feet inside the sideline. Aiming over the backhand side of your opponent makes it harder for him to hit a strong overhead, but it's not worth trying to thread the needle if he's already well over on his backhand side.
