Here, Andy helps to debunk a popular myth about volleys: that you should always stop moving and set your feet before meeting the ball. On high volleys, virtually every pro routinely moves forward through the entire volley stroke, because doing so prevents sudden deceleration that can tilt the body and thus the racquet downward, putting the ball into the net, and because moving forward allows them to meet the ball closer to the net, where the likelihood of hitting a winning volley increases dramatically. (On low volleys, you should set before hitting, primarily because moving forward complicates the timing of the necessary, often delicate, downward cut across the ball.)
