How much is the least a decent tennis racquet might cost?

By Jeff Cooper, About.com

Question: How much is the least a decent tennis racquet might cost?
Answer: Decent pre-strung aluminum racquets, which are adequate for beginners, start at prices as low as $15 at major discount stores, but bring a knowledgeable friend to help you avoid a few junky models. For intermediate and better players, who need the stiffness of a graphite or composite racquet, discontinued and closeout racquets can be a great deal, usually starting at around $70, including stringing.
