Judging from the Eastern forehand grip James is using to hit this slice backhand, he's going to put a ton of spin and relatively little drive on the ball. James may be that rare player who can drive a slice firmly with this grip, but most players do better with an Eastern backhand or Continental grip, whether they're driving a firm slice or hitting more softly with heavier spin.
