With his racquet only a few inches from meeting the ball, it looks like Gasquet is about to hit a very poor frame shot, but his racquet is rising quickly enough that the ball will hit well inside his stringbed, probably an inch or two above the centerline. On the typical well-executed topspin stroke, the ball hits above the centerline, rolls down the stringbed a few inches, and leaves from below the centerline.
