Here, Gasquet has begun to drop the racquet in the downward part of his loop backswing. His back is turned farther toward the ball, setting up for the partial upper-body uncoiling that will deliver much of the stroke's power. His knees are also bent, and the muscles of his upper legs are loading up to contribute forward push and upward lift to his swing.
