Serve Wind-Up

Djokovic gives a great example here of a bunch of elements of a classic serve. He has released the ball with his tossing hand high, and he continues to reach after the tossed ball. Novak is using a classic, full wind-up, where the racquet swings down and back before starting upward. With his weight on his back foot and his knees starting to bend, Novak is preparing for a strong upward and forward leg thrust that will contribute to the power and spin on his serve.
