Photo Tour: Tennis Girl Phenoms and Rising Stars

This photo of Tracy Austin, age 17, at Wimbledon in 1980 raises all kinds of questions: Is that a piece of a tree she's holding? Won't those pigtails swing around and whack her in the face? Isn't that snowball going to make a mess all over the grass when she hits it? Tracy reached at least one quarterfinal of each major, and she won the US Open in 1981.
