Anna Chakvetadze of Russia serves at the US Open on September 3, 2007 in New York City. Anna executes a textbook power serve here. A strong leg thrust has lifted her off the ground. She is meeting the ball at full extension, slightly in front, and slightly to her right. With a Continental grip, she is brushing upward and across the back of the ball, but due to natural forearm pronation, her racquet faces forward enough to deliver a solid impact as well. She continues to look up at the ball during the impact and presumably for a moment thereafter.
