Guide Rating -
Pros  •  good power on serves
•  separation of handle and head reduces shock
•  solid, yet maneuverable
Cons  •  too light for optimal arm safety
•  some might find the feel too "disconnected"
The Bottom Line - Intermediates who want extra serving power, reduced shock, and good maneuverability should give the Triad 4.0 a try -- as long as they won't be spending too many hours per week on the baseline.

Guide Review
Low shock and good power for its weight.
At only 9.9 ounces (strung), the Triad 4.0 is too light for players whose arms must endure several hours per week at the baseline, but it might be an attractive choice for doubles or all-court singles players looking for good power, maneuverability, and -- considering the light weight -- shock absorption. The Triad system separates the handle from the head, creating a feeling that some will find pleasantly soft, and others might find too "disconnected." The 6/8-inch head-heavy balance, 110-square-inch stringbed, medium-stiff 28-mm frame, and open stringing (16 mains) all contribute power to groundstrokes and serves, but players with moderate swing speeds should still feel well in control.
