Wilson Hammer 5.6 Rollers
Guide Rating -
Pros  •  soft but responsive feel
•  good mix of liveliness and control
•  nicely maneuverable
Cons  •  too light for marathon baseliners
•  need to generate your own power on serves
The Bottom Line - This racquet's rollers design performs as intended, creating a string bed that is both lively and easy on the arm. All-court intermediates should find it worth a demo.

Guide Review
A lively, comfortable racquet for aggressive intermediates.
The Wilson Hammer 5.6 uses rollers (how they work) to produce a pleasing combination of liveliness and comfort. A 3/8-inch head-heavy balance helps the 10.4-ounce (strung) frame deliver a satisfying thump on groundstrokes, and the string pattern, 16 mains on a 95-square-inch head, encourages spin. Players with full, medium-fast swings will enjoy a nice blend of power and control on groundstrokes, but they'll need to create their own power on serves. Light weight and only slight head-heavy balance retain good maneuverability for an all-court game, and for its weight, the 5.6 handles shock quite well, but avid baseliners might want more mass to resist shock.
