Affordable durability.
The Gamma Championship balls perform well when new, and their bounce clearly outlasts that of a standard ball. Like other balls with long-lasting bounce, though, the felt becomes the limiting factor. The Gamma felt seems to wear faster on a hard court than that of its two main pressurized durability competitors, the Wilson Double Core and the Dunlop Grand Prix. To the Gamma's advantage is its price, which is significantly lower than that of the other two. On a clay court or with less use per unit of time, its felt should last much longer, making its prolonged bounce-durability more valuable, and its lower price a more compelling advantage.
