Guide Review
Making the best of lack of weight.
This racquet's 10.6 ounces (strung) feels even lighter with a balance point 6/8" head-light on a 27.4" frame. Exceptional maneuverability is the result, but so is increased shock. Fischer tries hard to minimize that shock, most notably with a system that converts vibrations into harmonious patterns that send more energy back to the ball and less (as shock) to your arm. A quiet, stable feel results, but the racquet still transmits more shock than would a well-designed, heavier racquet. The 102-square-inch head is strung 16x19, delivering good spin potential and augmenting the power of a straight, 24-mm beam. This is not a racquet for baseliners, but it does offer many assets for players who will end points early at the net.
