| Guide Review |
 |
The balls for players who hate throwing them away.
The Wilson Double Core balls have the playing qualities one would expect from a premium ball when new, but their distinction is bounce-durability. My testing found that, after the wear of three sets once each week for four weeks on hard courts, the felt had become too thin to retain normal aerodynamics, but the lost weight made the balls incredibly lively. Using kick serves and high topspin groundstrokes was great fun, but at this point, the balls were unsuitable for really serious play. On clay or grass or with lighter use per week, their felt should endure enough to keep them fully usable for four weeks or longer. |
